Teaching is the profession that teaches all the other professions. ~ Author Unknown

My goal is to reveal one teacher's humble journey of self-reflection, critical analysis, and endless questioning about my craft of teaching and learning alongside my middle school students.

"The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called 'truth'." ~ Dan Rather

Exciting opportunity!

From a former colleague:

Innovators to Educators coming to Boston on November 2

I've been working on this very exciting event.  The innovators we have gathered are quite impressive and will push the audience to rethink how we can inspire creative thinking in schools and elsewhere.  This event in Boston will be great for educators, parents, administrators, non profit professionals and anyone interested in helping today's students who will be responsible for inventing the future and dealing with an ever changing world.

Our latest addition is Evan Schwartz who authored a book about Frank Baum and his literary innovations while writing The Wizard of Oz.   Dede Wilson - Media baking personality (Today Show and Home Shopping Network) and founder of Bakepedia.com will also talk about her early inspirations.  The more technology oriented innovators you would expect will present their own stories about childhood mentors, breaking the rules, blowing things up, having supportive parents (or not) and obstacles that come with being different from your peers.  Hear from architects, artists, museum designers, etc. Reach back to your own childhood memories. . . what inspired you to be who you are today????

Attendees are coming from around the world - Holland, Sweden, Brazil and Dubai.  This is an opportunity not to be missed.  Please share this with your favorite educators.  Whether you are a teacher, principal, parent, innovator, or business leader who will hire the next generation of innovators, this will be a day filled with ideas for how to deal with those young innovators around you. . . those that you know about and those that with some inspiration will exceed your innovative expectations.

I hope to see you there.

Stephen
