Teaching is the profession that teaches all the other professions. ~ Author Unknown

My goal is to reveal one teacher's humble journey of self-reflection, critical analysis, and endless questioning about my craft of teaching and learning alongside my middle school students.

How to Informally Assess Students' Learning

Check out this awesome video from ASCD this month:
How to Informally Assess Student Learning

View the video at: http://www.ascd.org/ascd-express/vol6/620-video.aspx?utm_source=ascdexpress&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=express620.
This clip shows how teachers at Hunters Woods Elementary School in Reston, Va., assess students in an informal manner because of their various backgrounds in learning. Each day educators informally assess their students to ensure that they are up to speed with the curriculum and to help them if they are having problems grasping the material.
Every student has different needs, and this clip shows how teachers can use their individual assessments to help students learn.
